Bricklaying is a wet trade, so we protect paths, patios and planting before we start, and we clean down at the end of every day — not just at the end of the job. How much does brickwork cost?
It depends on the brick, access and the size of the job. Small repairs might be a few hundred pounds; larger elevations are priced on the area and materials. Every quote is free and itemised, so you can see exactly where the money goes before committing.
Can you match the bricks on my existing house?
In most cases, yes. We'll identify the brick type and source the closest match available — reclaimed brick for older properties where a perfect match matters. If the match is borderline, we'll build a small sample panel so you can judge it before we commit.
How long will my brickwork job take?
A garden wall or chimney repair is often a matter of days; a full elevation or extension shell takes longer. We'll give you a realistic timescale in the quote and flag anything — weather included — that could shift it.
Do you work in winter?
Yes, but with common sense. Mortar can't be laid in freezing temperatures without protection, so on cold snaps we'll either tent and heat the work or pause until it lifts. We'd rather lose a day than leave you with mortar that fails early.
Will you tidy up afterwards?
Always. We protect paths and planting before we start, clean down at the end of every day, and leave the site swept and clear when the job's finished. Brickwork is messy by nature — how it's left is what matters.
